Didnt update
for a while.. but just arrived in China (Beijing). I had a
pretty good flight got a free upgrade to business class and
slept almost the hole way to Beijing, in a bit we are leaving
here again because we are going to Taiyuan (worlds 08 track) to
train a bit for the big days. I am still the alternate. We go
back to Beijing on august 15th. The wheater is not so bad
because it rained yesterday the smog is gone for today and the
heat is alright aswell. check back later for more updates..

Sorry about no updates over the last few weeks. I've been to
Baarn for round 3 of the Dutch National series. Felt good all
day and didn't lose a lap. In the final I had the holeshot and
won pretty easy.

Last weekend was the UEC Summer race in Valkenswaard. Rode
strong again, only had a bit of problems with the gate, which
had most riders. It dropped very late. Qualified myself easy for
the final. In the final I got a bit late out of the gate, but
went low in the first turn. After the first turn I was in 2nd
behind Roy tried to pass him but he didn't leave a cap open. He
went low in the last turn and I went wide to pull him down the
last straight for the victory.

 Last
weekend I went to Willingen for my first 4cross race. I arrived
there pretty late and only could do 2 laps of training before the
qualification where I finished in 9th place. after that there was a
brake from 6 hours so I could do a little more practice on the
track. only the top 32 qualified for the race so we started with a
1/8th final after that straight to the 1/4th and the semi I won them
all and in the main I had lane 3 and a verry bad gate but I past the
other guys on the first straight an took the win in my first 4cross
race before Johannes Fischbach.. the day after we went to Groningen and did another little
4cross race it was more for fun and Frank Heijne raced on his
cruiser we both made it to the main and frank holeshot it and me 2nd
I tried to pas him on the track but I came in some soft spots and
finished 2nd behind Frank.

Last weekend was the Dutch National
championships in Heiloo which was about 2.15 hour drive for me I
came there on Friday and did some training I felt really good that
day, on Saturday there was an other training but I didn't train
because the rain, on sunday morning in the warm-up I felt really
good but when racing started I dont know what happened but I could
get out of the gate and my first straight sucked I still made it
easy to the semi and in the semi I was in 2n position but made some
stupid mistakes and got 4th in the semi, in the mainIi had lane 7
and had a pretty good gate again got in 2nd place behind Roy and
tried to pas him around the track but he blocked me everywhere and
he took the win with me in 2nd and Sander in 3rd. Today we have our
training going on at Papendal again with Sandi from the UCI
following us today with a camera.

was my first weekend again on my bike after my injury in Australia,
Friday was cruiser day and I felt pretty good but I couldn't get a
good gate over there. I past my moto's pretty easy and won my
quarter aswell in my semi I had a bad gate and got 7th so I lost my
title :(.. Saturday round 11 I had a verry hard moto but got 1-2-1
past it true my 1-8th and quarter final again in the semi I had a
bad gate and couldn't get past the rest on the track and finished
7th again but I raced good all day so wasn't disappointed at all.
Sunday was like the same as the rest of the days but this time in
the semi i had a pretty good gate but came in touch with Caleyron
and was in 8th but in the 2nd turn I got back to 5th place behind
Strombergs and in the last straight I past Maris and made it to the
main. In the main I had lane 6 and had the best gate of the weekend
but this time i lost it on the first straight where I normally won
and got in the middle of the pack but in the second turn again I
came to 2nd/3rd place and finished 3rd :) so it was a pretty good
weekend for me after my injury..

After I dislocated
my shoulder and came back home I went to therapy in Utrecht and
they made a brace for me so I can race again in Weiterstadt here
is a picture of the brace. for the rest I have to go everyday to
Utrecht for therapy and they say my shoulder isn't that bad as
they thought it was so that is good news.

Today
was the first time on the track of Adelaide I was in group A, when
we started training they where not finished yet with the gate-ramp
so we had about 30 minutes free practice without using the ramp. The
2nd double at the 2nd straight was looking big but was very easy to
do if you landed the first double smooth of course. When the gate
practice came up the first jump was easy but you dont overclear it
like Madrid. I made a video but can't update it from here there is a
safety thing in the wireless. Hope to update it after tomorrows
timetrial.

Today
I arrived in Australia, we had a layover in Singapore for about
14-16 hours when we arrived we went to sleep in the airport hotel
for about 6 hours and then we went shopping I bought myself a new
laptop the Macbook air. When we walked in the city we sneaked in a
fashion show (the biggest of Singapore) when we got in there we went
to the VIP room and got free drinks and food. The weather over here
is pretty good and can’t wait for the racing coming up next week.

2 days ago I was on National television called "Goedemorgen
Nederland" Good morning Holland,
It was a pretty good video with some interviews check it out
here, the part with my in it starts after 5 minutes and 50
seconds. Also on tuesday we (Arno, Rob, Roy, Jordy vd Heijden and me) played
golf at papendal but when we started it started raining, in the
evening we got dinner at "Wok Paradise" a chinese restaurant which
was really good and in the evening we went to the cinema "No country
for old men" but the movie wasn't that good. This morning I had an
interview with the Rabobank for a part in there magazine. Tomorrow we are leaving to
Australia with a flight of about 20 hours so it wil be my longest
flight ever!! I heard that the world cup will be live on the
internet again so keep checking my site for the link.

 We
are now for about a week in France the trainings has been pretty
good and hard today we had to do 6 full laps and that track of
Montelimar is long, haha. We supposed to go to Aigle tomorrow but we
stay in France because the bad weather in Switserland. We don't know
what we are doing this week we might go back home when the weather
in Holland is getting better but we are still not sure, tomorrow
supposed to be our first national in Luyksgestel but we have to miss
that. For the rest my new bike feels really good.

 Been
here now for 2 days the weather is pretty good only today was a
verry hard wind.. yesterday we had a gym training and in the
afternoon we went on the track, the track is pretty cool and it is
fun to ride and jump those jumps.. also yesterday evening we did a
hairmakeover by Bas de Bever hehe look at the picture.. today we
went on the track again but there was a verry strong wind so it
wasnt really fun to ride and we did the most things on the street.

Yesterday I finnaly got my new Redline bike in
the 2008 colors with the chrome in the back, and some new products
on my bike like the sinz fork new seat and some new products from
shimano the RX line.. like the bar, stem, grips, seat , seatpost,
etc... I also moved kind of out house i am living in papendal since
a month or so right now because we are still training a lot over
there like 5-6 times a week and it is pretty hard to ride everyday
about 4 hours.. Tomorrow morning we are going to France (Montelimar)
for a week and then straight to Aigle for a week training to prepare
for the world cup in Adelaide. Last few weeks i felt pretty strong
in the training and I can't wait for the supercross in Australia.

Hey Guys, didn't
updated much lately but was pretty busy with training etc, Madrid
was for me a bad weekend didn't get any World cup points or UCI
points which is important for us to get the Olympic ticket. I felt
good all day qualified first to my 1/4th final but in the 1/4th
final I over cleared the first jump allot and almost crashed so
Madrid was over for me. This weekend is round 7 & 8 of the European
championships in Douai France. Also I did an interview on
Redlinebicycles couple of weeks ago and today they gonna post it on
the famous bmx site www.BMXMANIA.com. keep checking my site for
videos of this weekend.

was a pretty good weekend the track was better then France only the
last straight was a little soft.. On Saturday I felt good I had
Arthurs Matison in my moto and finished 1-1-2 also I past my 1-8th,
1-4th and semi pretty easy. In the main I had lane 2 but I had a
very bad gate and was in the middle of the pack and finished 6th,
Sunday was like the same made it again to the main this time with
the hole-shot but in the first turn my back wheel slipped away (but
on the video it looked like someone touched my back wheel) and went
back to 5th place but at the finishline I came back to 3rd. Also
some good news that our track (first straight) at Papendal should
almost be finished!

 This
weekend will be round 3 & 4 of the European series in Zwolle, after
my crash in France I took 1 week off because when I came back home I
went to the doctor and they told me my wrist was broken, a day of 2
after that I went to a specialist in Eindhoven to look if they
needed to operate my wrist but they couldn't find any crack and the
doctor told me if I wanted to know it for sure they made a MRI scan,
but also on the MRI scan they couldn't find any crack. So he told me
I could go home and start training again. Friday I will go to Zwolle
which is only 45 minutes away from my house.
