Last week I went to a
velodrome race with Roy van den Berg to prepare us for the Dutch
Championships. We did pretty good and both made it to the 3 men
final. In the last lap I sprinted away but lost it on the line from
a velodrome rider, I ended up 2nd and Roy 3rd. Yesterday was the
Dutch championships qualification. The top 12 riders on the 200
meter flying could enter the sprint race of tomorrow. I had a terrible
round and just missed the cut. Roy and Ivo where the only guys to
qualify
and we will see them back tomorrow.
The last few weeks we have been doing
alot of Velodrome.. And it is pretty interesting and hard to do I
thought by myself it was alot easier but after a sprint you still
have to pedal because other wise you flip over the bars. If I don't
have my operation this year I will compete the national
championships sprint on the end of this month with a few other Bmx
riders like v/d Berg etc...
Here are some pics of me riding the Velodrome..
Yesterday I went to Eindhoven hospital
for my shoulder operation. But while they operate me they found out
it was a lot worser than they tought, and at that moment they didnt
have the tools for it to fix it straight away so they stopped the
surgery and only looked what was wrong, there was a part off my bone
and the cartilage was also more damaged then they thought. So I have
to come back later this month or next month for a 5/6 hour operation.
So it was a bit of a disapointment yesterday and now I have to wait
for the phone call for the exact date of the next surgery.
The wheater in Holland is bad for
training, it is snowing over here and the BMX track at papendal is
not ride able. Check out what they are doing now!!
Not
much going on right now, the season is over but we started training
already for next season but I wil miss a lot of the training because
I have a surgery at december 4th on my shoulder. I have a crack in
my cartilage so I wil be out for a couple of weeks. for the rest I
am playing alot of that stupid BMX game on roy his website.. it
makes me crazy!! and I got a new car from the NOC*NSF a black one
this time (picture made with cell phone) updates will follow from my
surgery.
Yesterday
was the last race of the season! we had our final TC in Zoetermeer
and again it was raining Hard!!!! But the track was still in good
shape only the turns where a little slippery I made it to the main
pretty easy and got lane 3 but just before the lights came on there
was a woman with a camera who made a picture. My gate was bad
because I got blinded for a second just when the red light went on. I was in 4th place the whole race but
in the last turn I high lowed it with a sprint till the finish I
got 2nd. 1st was for Sander B and vdBerg got 3rd!
